Claude Code review
The one to beat on long, cross-file refactors — it holds context where the others lose the thread.

The verdict
Claude Code is the tool that finished the cross-service migration every other agent stumbled on — it holds a coherent picture of a change as it spreads across files and packages, which is exactly where long refactors go wrong. It scores just behind Cursor on the board because it is a shade slower on small, familiar edits, but if long-context work is most of your week it is the one to buy.
Who this is wrong for
- You want a full IDE experience rather than an agent driving your editor.
- Your work is mostly small inline edits — cheaper tools cover that.
